I don't know where you're getting this 'wizened prune' business from - you don't look more than about 45 at the most in that photo!
And I don't suppose there's any chance you'd consider changing part way through the signing so that we can have both the leather mini AND the cutaway denim with chiffon and roses?
*is greedy*
And would a promise to wear red feather wings and devil horns help on the moral support front?

In reference to the hot babe and the wizened prune: you have better posture and much better shoulders. Just sayin'.
And no wizened pruniness, either. (Prunyness? They both look wrong.)
Photo #22, though...I hope the blonde was only licking a crumb from the corner of her mouth, because otherwise.
And ye gods they had a table covered with an orange cloth entirely too close to a platform covered in red, all in the same room with those weird purple lights...my color-sensitive head explodes. (Yes, you can mix those colors in flowers, or maybe yarn, but not. like. that.!!)
Looking through them...so tempting to treat the pictures as moments in a play and write the dialogue. Some of those faces remind me of scenes from various British productions seen on PBS over here. "Wasn't she in the crowd in the churchyard when they exhumed the body?" "No, she was in that shop, the one having her purchases wrapped up when the main character came in..."

Well, I don't know if I have anything "outlandish" - except possibly my entire Pakistani wardrobe? But those are "normal" clotes to me, so it would feel like cheeting. Maybe my bridal clothes? (I only wore those once, after all... ) If I could get into them (ponders) - well, the kameez was rather loose on me in the day (it was the fashion then - early '90s)... Hm... So, what do you say? Long skirt embroidered in gold, plain red tunic, and veil matching the skirt? Of course, there would then be the darn business of the photo... To be honest, I'd have far less hesitation in wearing the thing to the signing, then I have in having my photo taken and submitting it. (I'm fairly used to not "fitting in" anyway, so I don't think a few stares would bother me unduly.) Any way, good luck to everyone, and have fun!
Why, I feel all thin, sort of stretched, if you know what I mean, like butter that has been scraped over too much bread.

I rather agree here: I see no wizenning here at all. Posture counts for a lot--without the ME, good posture keeps one from back pain and keeps one "youthier" for longer. Yes, I invented that word just now.
Actually, for someone our age, you are doing just fine in the looks & shape department. Neither of us smoked, drank heavily, did massive drugs, or let ourselves be turned to leather in the sun. My sister had a friend of the same age who looked 10-15 yrs older than my sister, due to having done all the above.

The black leather mini into which I no longer fit is a 4X--it was made for women with rather hips than mine. There was a time, 35-40 lbs ago, that I looked pretty good in it.
My current goal is to be able to fit into my last few corsets. Then I'll worry about that skirt.
One of my more fetching outfits has been the purple brocade with gold design (feathers and spider mums, I think) corset over either my purple or my teal raw-silk double circle ankle-length skirts. Those skirts were made (I have two other colors of them) from material that cost less than $5/yd for 60" wide raw silk.
I have the misfortune to live too close to Thai Silks, a major distributor of silk throughout CA, if not the US...and I will only allow myself to visit when there is a specific project about to be made/altered/repaired. The material for the outside of the corset also came from Thai Silks. Anytime that Anharad & Daniel are in the Bay Area, they make a point of stopping in there, which is why I know where they get the fabric.
I now have a lacy/airy halfmask in purplish blue suede that would go very well with that ensemble--and I must have a hat somewhere that would work.
Meanwhile, this photo which does not fit the limits of the profile reqs, might give you an idea of my taste in purple...but I didn't know about the red drape before I chose my outfit.

I don't have a good photo of me as Ereshkigal in our bellydance troupe's version of the Descent of Inanna, but it was just long and black with sparkle, except for the deep red headdress with some interesting feathers. The rest of the troupe was more colorful.
