Poor Robin! I'm so sorry that both the dogs are sick! That's never fun, especially when it involves no sleep for you... Candles will be lit later(when I'm at home) that things start going right.

Oh Robin!
Much sympathy and virtual hugging and chocolate coming from over here.
I have every available body part crossed that the hellhounds will stop squirting from both ends very very soon, and that you can get some sleep. (of course, the crossed bodyparts DO mean that I fall over when I try to move, but that's okay, it gives everyone else a good laugh...) Oh, and that the election has the desired result....
Don't worry about the dust bunnies, they're just here to guard the treasure.....

Oh dear.
Hugs for all and chocolate (and sleep) for you.
I hope they are feeling better soon.

Oh Robin, my heart goes out to you ... and your poor dogs.
I hope you will take very good care of yourself for the next while ... we don't want you to be as sick as the dogs.
I wish there was some way we of your on line community could pitch in the way we do when our family or friends need help. I'm really good at gluten free, dairy free meals for one family ... with my own Mom I take over the laundry, cooking, shopping, and housework and my favorite way to help is tending gardens and walking dogs. I wish we could do all those and more to get you through this.

I'm only going to echo everyone else's sentiments, but hugs for Robin!
And I agree-- I wish that there was something more concrete that I could do, something more than virtual candles, hugs, and chocolate. And general ridiculousness that sometimes makes Robin laugh. Other than that...
If only I didn't have classes tomorrow, and exams and papers and things-- and if only I had the money- the airport is only a train-ride away... and England is only an ocean away...
Sigh.
For now, sympathy as well as the necessary accompaniment of virtual hugs, cookies, chocolate and candles are all I can offer.
Oh, and a smile.

I'm so sorry, Robin. It's so hard when they're sick and squirting everywhere, but they can't help it, and you can't explain why they are sick.
To cheer you up, CNN just called the election for Obama!

I think it's a bit too soon to call, but that's just me. Obama is pretty far ahead on electoral votes, however. According to what I've seen on the news, and this is at 11:00 pm CST, is that he needs 63 more electoral votes to win. And so far, Obama is ahead in Florida (where I live). Our congregation's African American members are very excited about this election; most of them were deeply involved in civil rights actions most of their adult lives. Every one of them has family members who died at the hands of KKK and other racists.

I concur! I wish I could come move into one of the houses and help Robin with all the stuff that is going on right now... Or - something. Something more than just sitting here...

Robin, every kind of good wish and many prayers for Darkness and Chaos (and you too). I know you won't be able to sleep well until things settle down with them, so I hope for all your sakes that whatever meds they are on calms their guts and makes them feel better. You mention squirting probiotics down them: can you just go to the health-food store and buy a bottle of acidophilus etc. and give it to them in a capsule, without the flavoring medium and syringe? And is the vomiting usual? Does this make you suspect that they got hold of something unusual that they shouldn't have eaten?
On a happier note, as others have mentioned, it's an Obama landslide. His victory speech was very good. McCain's concession speech was a significant improvement over his campaign rhetoric; if the tone of his campaign had been more like it, he might have done better. The Democrats picked up five Senate seats; at 2:00 am here, at least two and possibly four Senate seats were still undecided. One of them is ours, and is so close that it will probably trigger an automatic recount. But all in all, a good night politically.

Robin, I'm so sorry the hellhounds are ill again. You and yours are on the perpetual-motion good vibes generator list. [Sends many hugs]
