I don't know if you've seen this or not, but Joss did a blog post on the status of Dollhouse after its shutdown: What Happened When the Lights Went Out

But even as hopeful as he sounds, I agree with you. FOX + Whedon + Minear... I don't trust it.

I really wish Firefly and Wonderfalls had been able to keep going.

I watched the As Time Goes by Christmas special last night. I'd seen it before, but still quite funny. I love it when Jean gets the desire to fix everything...hehe!

Two thoughts, my family was wondering...is that the original Harry?

Also, there were bloopers at the end of the show, after the credits...totally hysterical! Several moments, when people got words wrong, or when physical mistakes happened...when Judy Dench is in the shot and someone messes up....she's a stitch to watch! It was lovely...has anyone else seen this?

I've just gotten the first disc of "Fraggle Rock" from Netflix. It's so far the only show I watched when I was little that is still good. Jim Henson was a marvelous guy.

Antiques Roadshow is the only thing I watch real-time. The rest I check out from my library on DVD: Buffy, Perry Mason, Firefly, As Time Goes By, Waiting for God, DS9, Profiler, etc.

And here I'd have guessed I was the only Perry Mason nerd on the forum. Smile TV series, or the made for TV films from the 1980's?

Sorry Black Bear, but you are not alone in your nerdom. Perry Mason (Original Series) is a DVD collection staple in my house. And I find myself watching it way -way- too often. At least it seems that way.

My best friend and I in high school used to amuse ourselves endlessly by writing parody stories about Della, Perry, and the crew. Smile They were terrible, of course, but entertaining as hell during long study halls. I haven't watched the show in years now, but I collect the novels. (Pocket editions, first paperback printings if I can get them. Thus my frequent trips to Alibris alluded to elsewhere on the forum...)

*laughs* My sister and I didn't write scenarios for Perry Mason, but I will admit to us writing lyrics for the opening musical theme. Some of those had our parents in stitches and the grandparents wondering at our sanity.

... okay, my sister and I DID however memorize the entire script from the movie Clue, just from watching it over and over, and could recite it verbatum from beginning to end.

there... I think my level of nerdom just spilled over a little... Very Happy

Oh, brilliant! I have the Perry Mason-series on my list of films on the Swedish version of Netflix (it's called Lovefilm). I'm glad, now I'll be really looking forward to it! Smile (I've read two Perry Mason-novels...)

I like Bones, but haven't watched this season because I just felt SO burned by the end of last season. I'm still not over how mad I was about the resolution of the Gorignak/Gargamel/what the hell was the name...Gormagon! plotline. Worst way to get rid of a character EVER!

My advice, Shelley, is not to rush into it. Let it sit there leering at you until you can't stand to not watch it - then watch it. It worked for me(though I did use the "fast forward" button liberally as well)...

Um, both? All three? Daniel is a geek and has cute hair, O'Neill is funny and clever, and Teal'c is the kind of guy you want with you when you're walking through a dark alley.

I don't typically watch a lot of TV - the TV people don't beam anything to our television - but we are pretty faithful to a few shows by DVD. I will watch anything with Stargate on the cover. Smile

Mmmmm, Stargate. Likewise - if it's Stargate of any variety I will grab it with no other knowledge. Takes up more room on my shelves than any other show. I confess I do prefer the days of O'Neill (so there's my pick of Daniel/Jack), but I still enjoy all of it and am very sad that Atlantis will be ending.
