So - we've just seen the last episode of Birds of Prey
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0312098/
They must have known of their coming cancellation, since the last episode does move the story forward and gives some closure, rather than being just a generic episode. This is good, since it can therefore be viewed as a complete series.
So - it is a series featuring female super heroes battling crime. It is well-made, with good characterisation, acting, dialogue and believable relationships that are allowed to develop over time. It's not "just" for women either - my husband enjoyed it as well. Anyone who thinks it sounds interesting should really check it out.

Waiting for the new masterpiece classic Emma with Romola Garai. It looks really great. Just while your watching it don't compare it to the Gwyneth Paltrow one, let it stand alone. I thought I would not like it at all after the one with Gwyneth Paltrow but ended up loving it.

I've noticed that I love the action shows that include lots of humor and also focus on strong relationships between characters (NOT the romantic ones).

I've been watching all of those except Human Target... don't know anything about it.
Leverage and White Collar make me giggle so much... It's awesome.

Thank you for the link! And there is, of course, the Official DW Website...
I have always loved the classic series (Tom Baker, naturally; Peter Davidson second) but the "new" series is absolutely incredible. And although I'm not thrilled with the idea of such a young Doctor (I have never considered DW a "children's show"), having Stephen Moffat (Blink, Girl in the Fireplace, Silence, Forest) at the helm leads one to believe that the high quality of the writing should continue, perhaps even--dare I say it--improve, this year. I'll let you know my opinion next year when I can get the DVD's... *lol*
Have a TV but no reception via airwaves or cable. Hooray for those DVD's! (Dial-up internet connection barely allows me to access the forums here; forget streaming video. I know, I must get with the times, but it isn't easy when you only want to pay for services you will use. Well, (here in Sweden) I have chosen the "8 favourites" option with my digital box - that is 8 channels in addition to the "normal" ones. (Of course, this option does not include some channels - like some more expensive film channels; but since I don't want them anyway, I'm quite happy - and don't even have to resort to "sour grapism". ) So I've chosen among other things BBC Entertainment (which has its own problems, but I won't whine about them just now, they are at last going to show the fourth season of Doctor Who, so I'm prepared with my cassettes and video), Tv4 Science fiction (a Swedish channel, and thanks to which I've been able to tape the two B5 movies I didn't have - and haven't seen - I'm saving those to console myself when Crusade runs out... ). It's a good option, I think - and it's odd that more countries doesn't have something similar?

The new Doctor took a while to grow on me, but I am definitely becoming fond of him. And I adore the new companion!
