I thought, I wonder if Fiona is silly enough to let me hire her for an occasional day of accumulation-bashing?
She was.

Smart move!

You also remember^ I hate you, right?

GAAAAAAAAH. I’ve never been so current evented in my life. GAAAAAAAAAAH.
Ok, this one made me laugh hard. Unintended consequences of being a net bunny?

Think David Tennant!
oh yes!

And she packed up and took 1,000,000,000,000 parcels to the Post Office.# I have a Post Office phobia. It’s very sad.
Desensitisation! Go to the post office to collect fabulous AllStars...

Fiona sounds a great helper - perhaps with some elvish blood, as she can magic photos up for you and translate tunes on to your non ipod...

Fiona runs a folk-music club****** I think she should write a guest blog about this, don’t you?

I'd settle for a guest blog from her perspective of today's mayhem (no, no, sorting, I mean) and bell-ringing (or is mayhem and bell-ringing redundant??)!

yes, this is the same mindset^ that has produced brilliant ideas like buying third houses and converting their attics to contain eighty (heavy) boxes of backlist.

But this is BETTER than buying warehouse space. You get another place to live/put visitors/garden in, and storage too. Smart move, really. Smile

I’m not even sure I want to know that Obama’s approval rating is .007% and dropping fast.

Mr. Obama had a lot of bad stuff dumped on his plate when he took office, but just looking at the health-care reform bill mess, I don't think he and his staff have done a good job with legislation and I don't think he's been a very effective party leader. And like it or not, the president has to be his party's leader and get them to work together to do what he wants to do. Hopefully this year has been an education for him and he'll do better for the rest of his term.

That being said, Fiona sounds wonderfully accomplished and if she has a cousin in Minnesota, said cousin can come and spend a few days with me. Smile And yes, the guest post sounds like a great idea.

And what is this outbreak of Ralph-the-Rover-ism on this hitherto unexceptionable blog???? Or is it Edgar-Allan-Poe-ishness?

So it is Fiona I really have to thank for the inspiration for the Husband's birthday present? We did really enjoy the concert, by the way (and there was Martin Carthy! Martin Carthy!!!!
)

Gosh. I wish I could hire someone to deal with my clutter. Hmm, not that I'd want anyone else rooting around in my clutter.

(Thinks) Maybe I could pay myself to organise myself. I wonder if that would work. What would be a reasonable hourly rate?

Really. I was just thinking that myself. WHEW. Safe. Until she writes a note to herself and Fiona discovers it underneath a tower of magazines next year.

†† Literally, I sometimes think. She would certainly far rather buy a front-row ticket for a Steeleye Span concert than eat.

LOL I'm completely with Fiona on this one - for a start a front-row ticket for Steeleye doesn't have any calories Wink
