Hellhounds are so elegant. They belong in tapestries, or painted even "pointier" on fine porcelain. And those expressions!

Thank you for the pictures. Sympathy about the printer.

My printer's supposed to be multi-functional, but the only thing it can scan is photographic slides. I have bazillions of them from my days with a film camera taking slides, but the gizmo that's supposed to hold the slides for them to be scanned has vanished into the vast mess that is this room, and I've never scanned anything. To scan things, I drive to my webmistress's house in the city, and use her scanner. The printer will, however, print and copy, though it finally decided it didn't want to print on photographic paper, at all, at all. And sometimes it's very, very persnickety and won't print, or will print in stripes, or makes funny noises.

YAY!! Happy birthday, hellhounds!!

Also, bonus points for the A. A. Milne reference Smile

I especially love blog entries that feature the hellhounds predominantly, so this made my evening Smile

They are very, very elegant, indeed -- so sleek and flexible.

Hmm, this reminds me ... I guess in a couple of weeks my cats will be five. Grown-up, guys! This means you can give up ripping off pieces of cardboard boxes and spitting out the pieces as cardboard confetti all over the floor.

No?

Oh, well

Happy Birthday, Hellhounds! Did they get any presents?

They really are gorgeous guys, such beautifully expressive faces.

I'm vaguely wondering if the Hellhounds have decided evil dog wants to harm you and are being Good Protectors, or if they've clocked your inclination towards murder in this case and want to contribute. Either way, it's not ideal, but I suppose the small mercy is that they've confined the behaviour to this one specific dog.

Puppies are great and extra-cute and all, but, at the same time, it's kind of nice when it's all over and you can get to do more exciting stuff together. Chloe will be four in exactly two weeks, I'm taking her out to dinner for her birthday.

And a new printer-do-all might be in order. The current one could be roof-tested? If it survives being thrown off a roof (the higher the better) it passed the test and can stay.

Anyway, yay Hellhounds!

I think you, as caregiver, deserve the presents. After all, the only thing the hellhounds need to do is, ah, well, eat. Okay, prezzies all around!

I always love LM Montgomery's descriptions of time as pearls on the necklace of the year and so on, and I wonder what I'm missing.Little Man is two in just over a week and I find myself wondering if I shouldn't have more to show for two years...

Love the pictures. They make me miss having a dog.

Happy Birthday Hellhounds! They really are incredibly beautiful. And have so much leg! I've been trying to trace how they have folded it all up in order to lie down successfully in the dog beds and on the sofa. I think an extra hellhound leg dimension must be in play.

My printer gave up and died last Christmas and I have not replaced it yet (this is possible because I can use the printer at work for the bits and pieces I need to print off). The old printer was a Canon BJC 1000 that I bought in 1999. It didn't do anything except print, but it did that entirely satisfactorily throughout the course of its 12 year life. I don't know what to get to replace it because I don't really want all the scanner / copier functions which are just extra things to go wrong. I only really want to print out plain text. Oh, well! I suppose I'll get a new one eventually.

Hellhounds are very inspiring. Perhaps I will paint Hellhounds today in honor of their birthday. Happy birthday, Hellhounds!

I like the idea of a roof test for a printer. Or how about a water test, like how they used to decide if someone was a witch? Mine is working well at the moment but it would be quite satisfying to dunk it in a pool if it should start giving trouble.

You'd think 6 would be mature. But I look at Belle (who just turned 6) and I think... nah! LOL

Belated happy birthday to the beautiful boys. Their expressions--especially Chaos, looking a little worried--remind me of Teddy's. Not Tasha's--she's either looking at something with intent or has her eyes closed. Teddy will just LOOK. Must be a boy thing. Smile

semi-nostalgic** puppy pictures

I absolutely agree with the "semi." I'm a sucker for a puppy, but would much rather live with a dog!
