Jodi, I just read your book and it was AWESOME! It was one of those books that I kept telling myself I was just going to read one more chapter before I graded student papers, vacuumed the floors, did the laundry, etc..

Thanks for the wonderful read.

I agree - an excellent book! I've been a happy bunny with books this month, what with INCARNATE and now EMoon's ECHOES OF BETRAYAL.

I can't believe I haven't been on the forum all week - sorry, all; not that I don't love you all, but I've been busy.

Congratulations, and thanks for sharing with us! I have a copy of your book that came in the mail; it's been waiting until I have my last few library books with upcoming return dates finished, but I think I'm almost done with that and available to read it. Happiness!

Thanks, everyone! It was lots of fun. I feel lucky to have had the chance to go and meet so many awesome people. And extra thanks to those who've read Incarnate already. <3

OK, so I am a little tired, but when I read "carryon luggage", my brain reported it as "carrion luggage"...

Apparently they have pretty strict rules against that, or I'd have brought some. ;)

Oh no, not for Todd. He's a spoiled little thing and the only food he accepts is kibble. He'd be useless if I had carrion and needed to get rid of it.

No, the carrion would have been for . . . *thinks quickly* . . . people who asked where authors get their ideas! Muahaha!

For those people, or was the carrion actually the remains of the last person to ask you that question? Razz

Just learning from the . . . what was it? Mistress of Fantasy? Something like that? Whatever it was, it was probably a typo for Hellgoddess.

I'm thinking it was "Grand Matriarch of Fantasy," quite the title although maybe not precisely what the writer meant to say . . . Smile

Totally a typo for Hellgoddess. ANYBODY could be Mistress of Fantasy. I don't think I'm quite qualified to be matriarch of anything . . .

I can't think why my publishers don't start headlining me as THE HELLGODDESS. Smile

So the mention of the matriarch brought to mind a family story that has been passed down for the last 20 years. My paternal grandmother was a wonderful woman who cared about her children and grandchildren deeply, but she was also a Presence, and no one forgot it. Frequently she would say that she was the matriarch of the [Smith] family, with all of the grace and majesty that this entailed. Well, my youngest cousin at the time didn't know exactly what this meant, but he could tell that it was a position of power and prestige, so one day he said to us, "When I grow up, I'M going to be the matriarch of the [Smith] family!" He couldn't understand why we were so amused.
