I want to see Gaudi’s Barcelona.

So you should. If my schedule works out you can meet me there next spring. Actually just contemplating Gaudi can be refreshing. Year and years ago* I recuperated from, and avoided preparing for, the exams in my department by "helping" my friends in the Architecture department with their models. I don't really know what was made of the gratuitous and labour intensive Gaudi details that kept creeping into their projects although I know that at least one gate was identified as such, and admired, by the professor.

It’s just a good thing they’re cute.

Puppies are cute so we won't kill them before they grow up and turn into dogs. Obviously being cute has survival value for dogs as well. Smile

if I ever find myself in the dreadful position of not having a hellhound of my own

Bad thought, don't go there. I get as far as "If I ever had to size down . . ." and then shut the door on it.

Once at Dysart’s Truck Stop

That is one gorgeous piece of blueberry pie pictured on their web site. Too bad they're north of my brother's house, or I'd make an excuse to go to his place when I'm in Massachusetts next month. Smile

There's a new litter of PBGV puppies in the basement, and my mother reiterates this every time I talk to her - particularly now that said puppies have teeth.

The lurgy continues to ebb although I am disgracefully hoarse as a result of catching up on about a decade’s conversation with Luna and I’m not sure singing tonight is on.

I am glad to hear it! And in my opinion the manner in which you became hoarse is quite worth the hoarseness. Smile

As someone who has been there, but not long enough, I'll add another vote that you should go. Parque Güell and Casa Battló are very nice. (Of course, I, foolish, foolish person, did not bring enough money on my last day in Barcelona and therefore did not have a chance to see anything else, except from the outside.) But my friends said that Sagrada Familia wasn't as nice -- or rather, that the impressive bit could be seen from the street.

PBGVs are PERMANENTLY cute. Smile A litter of puppies with puppy teeth--scary stuff. Hydras aren't even in it!

Very true, on both counts! When I was younger and living at home, I accidentally taught the litter of then-puppies (one of whom might be the mama of this litter) to chase my long hair. As soon as the teeth came I always had to put my hair up before going to see them. Lesson duly learned. Razz Love them to bits, though, they're such sweethearts.

I somehow didn't get this entry read for a few days. It's so nice to know I'm not the only one who feels the whole exercise as treatment for CFS/ME/FMS/whatever is a bunch of bologna. I have tried it. Over and over and over again. Every single time, it has thrown me into a flareup that has taken anywhere a minimum of six months to come out of even a little. And then I had a pain specialist actually tell me I was bringing my pain and fatigue on myself by not exercising because I was losing muscle mass. Thank God there is a PA in the same office who gets that this is not the case and that a chronic illness like this is not the same and should not be treated the same as the injuries and such that they normally see.

Now if only some benefactor would start giving me some money every time someone, medical professional or not, tells me I should try exercise...
