Those mitts are beautiful!

Though I agree, right this minute, that yarn is EVIL. Or maybe it's only the little rubber thing on the end of the needles that pops off and lets the evil yarn escape and un-knit that's evil.

(Still staring at the mess resulting from that happening on the train and cussing at myself for carelessness. No, I haven't had time to get back to it and fix it, and I'm leaving again tomorrow for another busy weekend in public.)

I was right: one week turnaround is not enough. Not nearly enough.

However...gorgeous mitts. Just no time to make a butterfly mask so I'm leaving one more chance for Hellgoddess to win.

Oh, my goodness! A butterfly helmet! This is exactly what I needed tonight after a stressful, storm-filled evening.

Cables. The only way I’m ever going to get cables is if someone else knits them.

Robin, no no no. Cables are NOT HARD. Really truly. Some yarn shops use a sweater with a cable pattern as a beginner-class project. So after you win a pair of Jodi's mitts you can make a hat or a pair of leg warmers to match. Smile

I did a scarf with cables once, and if I can do it...
