Are any of the librarians in this forum planning to attend ALA? Brodart, Diamond Book Distributors, and Graphic Novel Reporter are organizing another massive graphic novel giveaway in New Orleans - more than 700 graphic novels (covering all age levels) plus the shelving to hold them and furniture to create a reading area, total value more than $20,000. Librarians have to enter in person at ALA and be present to win.
If any of you will be attending, I'll be working at the special display booth, #1760, and I'll also be participating in several graphic novel discussion panels in the Graphic Novel & Gaming Pavilion in Exhibits. Look for Kat (that's me).

Just to let anyone interested know: a Young Adult librarian from Shreveport, LA won the prize, which ended up worth more than $25K.
