Do you bite your thumb at ME?
Cowed (or dogged) I retreat, to fight another day.

speaking of dogged, and other "dog" words, I have changed my motto to pure doggerel, a form of verse which, when done (appallingly) well, I love Very Happy

I kind of like it when my computer says "It's not my fault." And yes, usually it's me that's messed things up.

I'm a Mac person, and have little trouble with my computers over the years, except for thee time I stepped on a laptop, ad that was my fault, yes indeedy.

My sincerest sympathies. Although the large purple button would be kind of cool, I HATEHATEHATEHATE machines that TALK to me. Particularly if they sound the least bit smug or condescending which way too many of them do (including, sadly, my husband's new GPS. GRRRRR.).

Yes, well - actually, the purple button was cool - it was quite big, too, and oval (I think). And the computer was sort of silvery - they were not going for "discreet"... Smile

... and now I have to go to London and hope that no one has a camera AT all!!

Too late! I've already promised Jodi a pictorial history of this landmark event. Smile However, I promise to offer you first view and to delete any that you feel less than happy with (and I hope all those of us going to London feel similarly). I have no wish, either, to be snapped and preserved for posterity with a facial expression suggesting either extreme idiocy or over-enthusiasm, nor any other view that I might lose sleep over...

Will Hazel need to be consulted as to her 'best side' before pictures are taken? Smile

In high school dance, there were people with cameras around all the time, taking pictures no matter what you looked like. *Especially* if you'd just got done practicing and were all hot and sweaty. Ew. But we (the students, not the royal we, except..sort of that. yes. WE.) learned early on to just smile all the time.

Especially if there's a camera nearby.

Well, first of all I too will be most happy to have a pictorial history of the event of the season. Smile But how ajlr can you suggest that any Robin fan could possibly HAVE an expression indicative of idiocy? Over-enthusiasm possibly, but IDIOCY? No, no, save those for other -unnamed due to Polyanna principles- authors' fans.

As for consulting Hazel, well she has no bad angles, as you can see from extant photographic evidence, however, her owner seems to think that her ears are made to look larger than they are in some instances and persists in trying to cover them Razz

Hmm, are we talking about Hazel's ears or Southdowner's ears being over-large in some shots? Smile

The idea of biting off Hazel's head and munching...

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
(covers Hazel's little ears) Surprised

As you can see from the above quote, we're talking about southdowner covering Hazel's ears... Smile

Ah. Confession time. No known photo of me has ever been less than idiotic looking (one eye shut/squinting/mouth open in vacant mode etc), so I may be the exception to the Robin fan rule. I am quite resigned to it by now. Am sure Hazel's ears are delightful, be they big or small, btw.

Take about 65 pics of me, and one might look good.

My husband is also a photographer, so I know this is true.

Excuuuuse me! Hazel & I have very nice ears thank you very much! The rest of us may be of generous proportions, but there's no need to go ear-xaggerating things!

I am sure that all ears referred to are exquisitely formed - body parts of shell-like beauty and intricacy no less! Smile
