I am getting a few reports, mostly from international members, of an SQL error that starts like this:

*Warning*: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in */home/robinmck/public_html/forum/index.php* on line *19

This is due to a failure to connect to the forum database, a load-related issue. It is a transient problem and is not due to a bug in the forum software.

If you encounter the problem, please email Blogmom at blogmom@robinmckinleysblog.com. Please include the time in GMT, EST, or CST (whichever is easier for you).

The time will let me determine whether this problem tends to occur around the same time every day and also lets me check the logs.

Thanks!
