Current: The Office. When 30 Rock returns, I will watch that as well.
I used to watch so much TV and now I barely remember that my shows are on and have to run to the living room to catch them when I belatedly remember that they're starting.
But I do Netflix like crazy.
We just finished the first season of Mad Men, and are currently finishing up the seventh season of The West Wing. Also, really enjoying the British miniseries, State of Play. It's all about big business conspiracy, and the amazing Bill Nighy is in it. That man can play anything.
ETA: By the way, I ADORE Slings and Arrows. Anyone who has been backstage in a tight knit company knows just how accurate this show is.

I've been watching TOO much TV, because I'm down, but what the heck, I'll see if I can remember them all.
Life on Mars--not as good as the British version, but then what is? "Look at those cavemen go."
What Not to Wear--How to cover a wounded leg. I'm sure they'll do a segment sooner or later.

Now that Project Runway is over, I have nothing to live for on Wednesdays except for Thursdays and my beloved Supernatural (last season was rough on our relationship, but I'm very keen on the current season).
Other than that, I don't watch any shows with any kind of regularity, because I fail at remembering to turn the TV on at a specified time--even if I love a show and really want to watch it, it takes a special kind of love and real effort for me to keep up with it on TV--plus there's always competition for the TV. When I'm at home I catch House and Monk and Pysch, because I watch them with my family.
Lately we've been watching the BBC Pride and Prejudice miniseries--an hour or so a night--and it is very amusing to me that my dad and brother are the ones completely addicted ("We're watching Pride and Prejudice tonight, aren't we?")

We have a tivo sort of thing and record what we want to watch, too. Makes things so much easier.

All of my TV is via the lovely internet these days.
I watch Project Runway, Hell's Kitchen, and Top Chef when they're running.
Bones I adore.
I've been watching old QI and Bullshit! episodes... also wound my way through all of Charmed, Buffy, Angel, B5 and a few other things, when I've got some time.
Doctor Who and Torchwood (I've really been enjoying the new Doctor Who serieses).
Recently got into How I Met Your Mother, as an offshoot of watching NPH in Dr. Horrible.
I also got into watching Lipstick Jungle from the recent season of Project Runway (I also went through and watched other variations of PR... I LOVED the Canadian one. Iman is so amazing!).
Oh! And EUReKA from SciFi and Good Eats.

Well here in NZ we get all the programs MONTHS after they come out wherever they are released and we only get a limited selection. So my fabulous flatmate downloads everything off the Interwebs so I am up to date with all the below.
Programs loosely listed by the amt I adore them, starting with
NCIS
House (I want to be House when I grow up LOL)
Life
Greys Anatomy
Private Practice (Greys spinoff)
CSI
Fringe
The Mentalist
Leverage - only the pilot has aired but looks good
Bones - read the books they are also excellent but nothing like the TV series - by Kathy Reichs
True Blood - didnt like the books and iffy on the series
Knight Rider - its a new version and its entertaining enuf
Oops almost forgot Eureka - so funny
Programs they have cancelled that I have enjoyedL
Moonlight and Blood Ties - both vampires and well done, and the Blood Ties series is based on the 'Blood' books by Tanya Huff and they are pretty good and the TV series is fairly close in some episodes to the books
Firefly - I LOVED THIS SERIES!!!
Veronica Mars - fabulous
English programs I enjoy but are hard to get via Interwebs:

What is NCIS?

I tried to get into Grey's, but it just didn't grab me.
Oooooh how did I miss Blood Ties? I LOVE Tanya Huff's series! I keep hearing stuff about Veronica Mars, but haven't got around to them yet. Keep meaning to read the books that Bones' based on, but haven't got around to them either.
I forgot Top Gear! My boyfriend and his previous roommate introduced me to it, and it's just fantastic. I was all squeeful seeing Jeremy Clarkson on QI.
QI is on the internet to be found. There's a number of episodes on YouTube. I've got series 1-5 completely on my computer, thanks to torrents (so, not entirely legal >.>)

I am watching the leaves fall and the clouds go scudding by ... couldn't you have had a choice for those of us who don't have TV? And choose not to have anything to do with it, as it is addictive and wastes time which would be better spent _____________. (Fill in your own answers.)

I don't actually have a TV, much less, cable, but I do watch a very odd assortment of things either online or on DVD. Mostly either really old and/or British series.
My favorites:
The Andy Griffith Show (Because it's so funny and I have a bit of a crush on Andy)
Bonanza (Cowboys!)
As Time Goes By (I'd be willing to bet I'm one of very few fans under 25 - it's the only series I've watched all the way through)
The Vicar of Dibley (I kept hearing about it, plus you can find the whole series online, so I finally watched it, and loved it!)
Are You Being Served? (Just hilarious!)
I used to watch The Office, but have ended up 2 seasons behind. I like Gilmore Girls but rarely watch it, and when I think about it I watch The Daily Show online.
I love it that more and more shows are available online. Netflix now has all of Keeping Up Appearances and parts of Vicar of Dibley and Ballykissangel (which I haven't watched), as well as Leave It To Beaver. You can also find the entire series of Vicar of Dibley on YouTube and Google Video, and a lot of Are You Being Served? episodes.
I've never had a TV except when I lived with roommates that did, but if I could have just one channel, it would be Turner Classic Movies, except that if I had it, I would have to install a fridge, microwave, and toilet near the TV, because I would be glued...

I dunno about that... I have to say, the writing on some shows on TV (or that was on) is rather awesome.
I mean, Whedon's series (it's probably not a secret that I'm a fangirl), The West Wing seasons 1-2 (or 3) in particular, Pushing Daisies (if you're into the style in which they tell their stories), The Sarah Connor Chronicles, the aforementioned Veronica Mars, SLINGS & ARROWS (<3)... There's some good writing and storytelling there.
But then I read and love comic books too, so what do I know?
And who knows, you could have been watching superspies outside your window...

Well, here's another! Just 19 for a month [and a few days] now. And I ADORE As Time Goes By. So wonderful. My grandmother got me hooked on the Britcoms on PBS Saturday nights-- mostly As Time Goes By, and To The Manor Born. Also Keeping Up Appearances... and only now have discovered AbFab and Are You Being Served and so on through YouTube. [well, last year, when I came to school and got a laptop and spend an inordinate amount of time looking for ATGB episodes, and thus found new things]

Yep. Agreed. See above.
Also used to watch Fresh Fields with my grandmother. I guess that isn't shown anymore? Haven't seen it in ages- nor the spinoff of French Fields.
Also, can't forget Fawlty Towers! John Cleese and Prunella Scales are too great.
Wow. This is the last thread I thought that I would be commenting on. I watch very little TV. But I guess when the British comedies come up, I do go on a bit.
Though, come to think of it, I haven't watched in quite a long while.
[Aaah! Sudden attack of britcom withdrawal. I mean... I STILL have papers to write. No TV allowed. No You Tube either. Oh, the difficulties, the lengths to which I go so to prevent my own procrastination and distractability. Sigh...]

NCIS stands for Naval Criminal Investigation Service (or similar)
Its about a team of 3 agents and their boss (played by Mark Harmon) - and some others - who go around dealing with crimes done to and by memebers of the US Navy.
I love it because the characters and personalities really appeal to me, and the humour is fantastic.
Take this for instance - the ME is played by David McCallum who was famous for his appearance many years ago in The Man from UNCLE - his characters name in that was Ilya Kuryakin
In an episode in NCIS a couple of seasons ago there is a threat against Duckies life (thats his name in NCIS) and the agents have to go to his home to protect him.
One muses to the the boss "I wonder what Duckie looked like when he was younger"
Boss pauses for thought for a moment and replies "Ilya Kuryakin"
Cue falling about shrieking with laughter
Veronica Mars is oddly fascinating - the first series is where Veronicas best friend Lilly has been killed. Veronicas Dad had been the town sheriff at the time but was discredited in the investigation and stepped down, to be a Private Investigator. Veronica decides to do a little investigation of her own into the death of Lilly.
So the overall story arc is her finding out all sorts of things about Lillies death. And in each episode she also solves mysteries for her schoolmates and friends in quite clever ways. She has quite a bad attitude so sometimes her solving involves interesting payback for the offending parties.
Need to watch from the beginning and in sequence to get the full benefit.

I highly recommend Veronica Mars as well. After BTVS went off the air, I was bereft, and then some friends told me about Veronica Mars. Now it's not as good as Buffy, but it sort of helped me fill that need. I've watched all 3 seasons and liked them all. Actually, I was thinking about starting from the beginning and watching again. Or should I do Buffy? Argh.

I think its first season is very nearly there. Better than BTVS season one anyway, I thought, though VMars didn't sustain that high/tightness in storytelling (which I think might have been partly network interference, at least in S3).
And Supernatural tonight... Kripke, you do love your fans. It felt almost like a S1 or early S2 episode again.

Yay! It's hard enough to find older people who like ATGB, much less people my own age! I also discovered Britcoms through PBS Saturday nights when we briefly had a TV for a year or so, and had a rabbit-ears antenna that picked up pretty much only PBS. ATGB, Keeping Up Appearances, and Are You Being Served? especially.
Did you by any chance find ATGB episodes? I haven't been able to find any at all, although most other Britcoms have quite a lot. I have found that eBay usually has the whole series boxed set much cheaper than Amazon or anywhere else--around $45-60, sometimes as low as $30! I've yet to buy it, but it's next on my list. I've got birthday money on the horizon, so I plan to get it soon. I have the first three seasons on DVD now, but so many of my favorite episodes are later. I can't wait to get it!

I did! I enjoyed the way it started, but I didn't get to see it for a while, and when I came back to it, found it had lost a lot of it's appeal. I'm not sure if that's because the first few episodes were that much better, or I just lost the thread and impetus of the story (or somewhere inbetween).

That was the best. I really hope the current season keeps up this trend of getting better and better--I loved last week's episode as well ("I have a coupon!").

Make that 2 more members. My sister, 19 and I, 24, both love that show. Our local PBS station shows it every week, and our local library owns copies. Actually, we usually watch it with my dad.
Nothing makes me laugh quite like that show, and now my sister and I say that our parents have J&L moments, much to their annoyance. I guess we're not alone, as we thought we were!
