Did driving in Maine give you a head start in this? I can attest to the narrow roads and blind corners, if not the hedgerows, in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Aargh aargh aargh. My current frustration is with Teddy's puppy acne. I wash his face after every meal, but using anything topical is probematic because he can lick it off. ::Groans:: But here's a picture of the boy anyway:

I'm so glad you were able to avoid a crash, and even gladder that the hellhounds were lying down. If they hadn't been, they would have been tossed around. Ouf!

I have no idea! I remember when my parents told me that we were migrating here - I looked up ALL the toxic critters and objected strongly. Fortunately, they ignored me. My only consolation at the time was that we were too far south to be attacked by a Sydney funnel web spider.

We've had a spate of finding redbacks lately. I don't think anyone's died recently from redback bites though.
