Kind of reminds me of Flawed Dogs, which I own, of course.

Oh dear, the wait for this one is going to be really, really hard.

I think I'll go back to laying flooring so that I don't spend too much time longing to read more.

Sorry to hear about the ME, but glad to know that spring is happening somewhere. When I back tracked to read the snippet you posted previous to yesterday's, there were those lovely roses again.

Ooooh, dear. The Evil Teasing Cow is back. I love Miri already! And the dog.....I do love the way she identifies animals like this. He just sounds so handsome.....lol, somebody make me stop. And yes, I loved DOGSBODY too, although I had the privilege of reading it for the first time much more recently--you lot got me started on DWJ a few months ago, after I'd mostly gotten through McKillip. Razz

Here's hoping you feel better soon, while enjoying all your stopgaps in the meantime! Smile Like--I mean--don't feel called upon to produce an actual post until you're absolutely sure you're up to it! Razz

Thank you, once again!

How long did you say you thought we'd have to wait until it came out (plus, of course, postage time from the US for those of us on this side of the Atlantic?

Hi Robin

Miri's new dog is one of the Cwn Annwn? I was wondering about it when you mentioned the red ears. A truer 'hellhound' than Darkness and Chaos who seem to be hellish rather than from Hell.

Does Miri's story have a name or did I miss that part?

Wonderful! It's beautifully vivid, I can just picture the dog.

I especially like the way the narrative builds up to the final line. Of course he must be a hellhound, he has hellhound eyes.

I thought of that one too, and also LOVE the book!

And of course LOVE, LOVE, LOVE today's snippet! (Although that was probably perilously close to squeeing, I shall stand firm and not retract it. Very Happy)

Oh, what a wonderful dog! When I was younger, I had a dream that I had a scarlet red horse with black eyes, and a dog to match, and I loved them both, and have never quite stopped looking for them, though I'm probably too old for such things now. (My sister, who has always wanted a pure white horse named Magic, thought I was crazy, but that wasn't anything new.)

Dogsbody is one of the only DWJ books I haven't read -- maybe I'll pick it up next time I'm at the library...

This is the second part of a story called "Hellhound," which Robin first introduced in this entry.

Snork! Yes, we could get through quite a lot of KIRITH if I don't brighten up soon. Yrs truly, the Evil Teasing Cow.

Thanks for the second preview. Hopefully there will be no mysterious holdups in the production process so we can get FIRE when "scheduled" and finish these stories!
