Apres Auction FAQ

October 14, 2011

If you have not yet received your PayPal instructions, please email Blogmom from the email you used to purchase or place your bid with INVOICE in the subject line.  With many hundreds of emails to keep track of, I can’t guarantee I haven’t missed someone or sometwo.

People with Yahoo accounts, please see below for additional details.

I am interested in one of the added copies of an auction book being made available at the top bid price.

Please email Blogmom with ADDED COPY Sunshine (or whatever) in the subject line.  Be sure to include
- dedicate to
- doodle
- full shipping address (please with name and with country!)*

Final bids on auction items are here: Bid Updates.

I will let you know within a few days if we still have copies available.

I have a Yahoo account and haven’t received my PayPal instructions yet.

12-Oct  if you used a Yahoo email address: Yahoo is bouncing mail from blogmom@robinmckinleysblog.com with this highly annoying error:

421 4.16.55 [TS01] Messages from x.x.x.x temporarily deferred due to excessive user complaints

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/postmaster/errors/421-ts01.html

If you haven’t received your invoice, please email me from your Yahoo address with an alternate email and ALTERNATE EMAIL in the subject line.

Well, how d’ya do?

It went really, really well!  Thanks to all who purchased and bid!  We won’t have final numbers for a little bit yet, but we’re already north of $7000 with lots of bids and purchases yet to be paid.

Is there a payment deadline?

Orders that haven’t been paid for or have a PayPal payment pending by the 20th of October will be considered cancelled.

I asked for combined shipping but have received separate invoices.

Blogmom is fallible.  If it’s for books, there’s no great advantage to combining books, so just let it go as is.  If you asked to combine multiple doodles with or without books, please email Blogmom and gently point out her error.  She will send you a revised combined invoice.

I was wondering how you determine who gets the five additional copies for the signed hardbacks?  Will it be the top five bidders?  or whoever says they are willing to pay the top price?

  • First dibs goes to people who had already bid on the book during the auction.
  • If more than five people are interested, we will pick the next top five bidders.
  • In case of a tie in bid amount, we will pick the person whose bid has the earlier date and timestamp

Once all eligible bidders have decided and paid, remaining copies will be made available first come, first served at the winning bid price.  Watch the blog homepage sidebar for updates.

If you have a question about your purchases or bids, please email Blogmom with QUESTION in the subject.

*You’d be surprised how many people left off their names and USA from their shipping addresses…
