Skyscrapers
I can’t remember if I told you that a web incarnation of the big trade mag Publishers Weekly, PW Daily, was going to be so fortunate as to display two ‘skyscraper’ ads for FIRE and WATER. My editor sent them to me a little while back, saying that they’d be going out yesterday. Immediately on point for possible blog material I asked if I could post them here the day after, and she said yes. Aren’t they pretty?*
* Well, we didn’t have lo-text Monday this week, because we were going to have lo-text Tuesday.
So, meanwhile, as for me, stomach flu is retreating, although I have to say it could shift its little butt a little quicker. So to speak. There was sunlight^ this morning in sufficient quantities to go out with hellhounds and be so entranced looking up as to walk straight into ankle-deep mud and have some difficulty (SPLURG SPLUNGGGH) dragging my feet back out again and I have forgotten what colour those All Stars were when I put them on. Which is just as well, since they never will be again, whatever it was. Laundry soap can only do so much.
Then I spent about an hour, with somewhat erratic results, trying to remember how Fear No More the Heat o’ the Sun went, it having been a rather bad week for anything but worrying and moaning. ^^ And then I went to my voice lesson and damn the stupid torpedoes anyway.^^^ Which is to say that I should doubtless have stayed home and kept on with my final readthrough of PEGASUS, which is now most of a week behind^^^^ thanks to the worrying and the moaning and the objects thereof.
And which PEGASUS^^^^^ I might conceivably have a half-hour’s brain time left tonight for, so I’d better get back to it. Page something-or-other ahoy.
^ Not for long. It’s raining again. With a little sleet for variety. The indoor jungle is again in residence. And have I mentioned that my rose order(s) finally arrived?
^^ Peter is doing brilliantly. Which makes one of us.
^^^ Since it’s RAINING again this is not a non sequitur.
^^^^just like practising Fear No More and the Capriol Suite is. However the remuneration aspect favours finishing PEGASUS all over the place. +
+I am so jealous. Blondel is singing in a barbershop quartet that is/are starting to get paid gigs. Hey, it only requires that you can sing.
^^^^^ As opposed to some other PEGASUS.
