Tell me your cats don’t do this!!!!!!!

When I was in grad school and only had Mean Cat, she used to meet me at the door of my apartment and stick to my ankles like glue for at least 5 minutes on arrival. “I’ve been so loooooonely, you were gone foreeeeever, I’m so booooooored….” So out of the kindness of my heart, I acquired a kitten (later known as Big Cat) to keep her company while I was at the library. Mean Cat was horrified–her plan had backfired! Instead of convincing me to stay home all day every day, I had saddled her with a terrible monstrous little biting mewing thing that wouldn’t leave her alone… She still has not forgiven me for this. And she never bothers meeting me at the door anymore, even when I’ve been gone a week. :) The boys, yes, but her–never.

Helloooooo handsome boy! *smooches!*

Yes. *Another* dress is now covered in dark-grey-and-pale-fawn-coloured hair. Sigh. They were ASLEEP when I left.

They just want you to remember them when you go away in your fancy clothes. (I have ferret and cat fur all over my stuff. *sigh*)

Animal hairs on clothes is a small price to pay for your loving friends. I have three cats in the house and therefore three kinds of cat hairs on EVERYTHING. And Boychik’s ginger hair (which is LONGGGGG) clings to everything and shows up brilliantly against my hubby’s back clericals. I’m constantly trying to brush him off before he leaves the house.

That is a gorgeous dress, Robin, and you look beautiful, and it seems the day went off rather well. Always a good thing.

I’ve always worn a lot of black–I finally have a (nearly) black dog and am finding out how many PASTELS I seem to wear. . . .

No matter what color you wear, your pets will shed something that shows. It’s a law of nature. They must have stealth contrasting fur hidden somewhere about their persons.

Mine being a tortie and a calico, they shed every color there is anyway, and dark clothing put on a cat-free bed is immediately covered in white hair. With such talent, they could rule the universe, if they weren’t so indolent.

Pet hair is the Force; it surrounds us, and penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together. May the Furs be with you. :-)

Terrifically worthwhile photo. He looks like he wants to know what the heck you think you’re doing.

Anyone who says ‘animals don’t communicate’ again will be redirected to this outstanding sample.

Such an expert in combining so-glad-to-see-you and missed-you and how-dare-you-be-away-for-so-looooong I haven’t seen since my cat passed.

Comment by Robin

I find they mostly do get their point across. :)

Who’s got an adorable face? Who’s got a big sweet nose and big melty eyes? You do, beautiful boy!

That’s Chaos, right? Darkness is, well, dark.

****** . . . and hours and hellhounds were very glad to see me.

I didn’t realise how far I was turning round to get Chaos’ face right way up, and then I fell off my chair. Again. Today. That makes twice.
Cute Chaos! ::Strokes him::
