Connie!
. . . And Jenny. Speaking of ripped, look at those arms. I love muscles that just come from doing what you do–if you’re lucky enough to do the sort of thing, and not to have to go to a gym. Best arms I’ve ever seen were on my old blacksmith . . . hmmm . . . unfortunately he was spoken for. (But then, so was I.)
Isn’t Connie lovely?* Look at that sweet face. **
*Hint: the right answer is yes
** Never mind the belly.

OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH. She’s gorgeous! What a beautiful girl!
(And check out Jenny’s arms indeed! Holy moly!)
Yes she is!
And yes, Jenny is built for **wrastling with horses.** And she’s such a little bit of a thing! You don’t notice and then she says something about being short and you look at her a minute and think, oh. I guess. **Short**??

She is glorious!
I am going to move to England so I can learn to ride on Connie. She is GORGEOUS! =)
You’ll have to get in line, you know. I was mobbed by small girls while I was tacking up today, who are ALSO going to ride Connie as soon as they grow a few more inches. She’s just *like* that. :)

What a beautiful picture they make together!
Now that is one gorgeous horse…..I love the sassy look on her face.
Yes, she is lovely. Okay gorgeous and what belly? In fact, like that she looks remarkably like a palfrey from any number of fairy tales. You feel you’ve seen her on tapestries and book illuminations. And indeed, she has a sweet-natured face.
You are a lucky, lucky woman.
You also remind me of my duties as sister. My sister, who has spent a year in mourning for her beloved City Tycoon, who had to be put down last summer, is now happily riding again, with shares in another horse (whose name I have shamefully not retained). And I, the official family photographer, must now brave the dust and smells and photograph him.
No I still am not tempted to ride myself. I only ride in books.
You are a lucky, lucky woman.
********** Yes. :)
And she DOES look like something off a tapestry. I hadn’t even noticed. (But then I’m busy rubbing the ‘stable stains’ out of her whiteness and watching her make horrible faces while I do up her girths, etc. Romance *survives* but real life gets in the *way.*)

Romance *survives* but real life gets in the *way.*)
But that goes for so many things. Real life I think is keeping the romance fresh in your mind while wiping the mud off your hands. If you only live “the romance” you miss the reality and if you focus on the miseries of life and don’t appreciate “the romance” you’re missing an entire dimension.
But then, although I’ve never appreciated horses in the flesh, I’ve always been a romantic and loved ones in books.
WOW! I’m not sure who looks better, Jenny or Connie ;)
I think your pictures do your descriptions of her justice. She’s looks so well tempered and full of life. (Connie, not Jenny, although Jenny looks like she was born on a horse)
I think Jenny WAS born on a horse. The entire extended family rides although Jenny’s the only professional. And Connie really really *is* a Very Nice Horse. I am SO LUCKY. [knocking feverishly on wood]

General adoration of Connie. And respect for Jenny’s getting the most out of her. It is so interesting….how a horse will transform itself when the right rider is in charge…..half of the school horses spend much of their time looking as if they were waiting for a bus (while trotting); but on the rare occasion that our instructor shows How It Should be Done, look fantastic, just as they did in their World Champion days. (It always boggles me why they call it World Champion when no-one from foreign countries actually entered, or likely knew the competition was occurring, but I suppose it’s like the World Series. Or our local news covering the World and the Miami Valley Area, and you can guess which is the important part….). Sam, the Morgan I usually ride, will invariably change his look from Depressed Nag to Noble Steed when I’m rubbing him down after a lesson, but then he has a personaility all his own. Anyway, Connie looks super.
:)

I don’t know anything about horses, but Connie looks like someone I’d like to meet.
My neighbor’s brother visited her with his dogs. He wandered over and introduced me to his Australian Shepherd, Kylie. I like the kind of people who introduce their dogs to me.
Yes. And the visitors who talk to my hellhounds as if they were just part of the family/conversation are the ones who get invited back. :)

Connie has such a lovely expression! and the rest of her is pretty nice too :) What a cutie.
I was looking at Jenny’s arm muscles in all the photos, but you have to imagine the strength of seat & leg which is gathering impulsion and pointing it forwards for the arms to hold… Wow! on those leg muscles too lol
*Yes.* Connie can’t pull me out of the saddle because of all the hellhounds and bell ringing but I just DON’T HAVE the leg and seat. Yet . . . And Connie does go forward for me! It just takes a little longer . . . :)
