DARKNESS! *poing* And Chaos playing dead. And smoochie dogs. *squeepers*

Comment by Robin

That’s not smoochies! That’s KILL! KILL! (I think Chaos doing his upside shark is a hoot.)

Oh yes. When I make the picture bigger, I see TEETH!

Oh my, Darkness, what big teeth you have!

(The better to nom Chaos’s face with!)

Comment by southdowner

Is that Chaos playing dead? Cause Darkness looks as if he’s in mid air spin and I can’t imagine that reaction to a sleeping hound lol

I spend hours dogwatching (and used to sit in fields spending hours horsewatching) – it can consume time as if the clock hands are spinning round, but is just one of the best ways to restore inner sanity and balance I know. How can there be that much wrong if such pleasure can come from leaping and wrestling?

Comment by Robin

Yes!!!! :)

look for “001 setters 038″ – it was when beefheart wouldn’t listen, so rosie did this mad “I save this face for frightening dragons and other small to medium sized monsters” complete with paw gestures!

Great pictures. I have a fair number of play pictures that look like murder is about to happen–in prints, have to investigate getting them machine readable.

Do you have a wolfhound?

Comment by Robin

Yes please. :)

No, just my guys, whom I haven’t weighed recently. Which reminds me, I haven’t posted my This Is How Big They Are photos of all of us standing.

Comment by southdowner

MMMmmmmm! Must I admit? Eleven dogs.

Yes! ELEVEN!

There, I said it out loud! Now I might be able to recover – what ARE the twelve steps for dogohoholics?
Forget I mentioned it, I can’t think of any steps I want to take :)

******** I can! Lurchers!

Comment by southdowner

How many and what are they?
To list (this always hurts – maybe it’s The First Step)
One labrador, 2 german shepherds, 2 shaggy grey “things” possibly old english sheepdog or bearded collie cross, one standard bull terrier, five (five – OUCH!) mini bull terriers… they’re all lovely, but three are in double figures and I hate knowing time is limited :(

Comment by Robin

You need a few lurchers. :) You know the bull/greyhound cross is very popular.

You must be one of the worst enablers I know! You should come with a warning sign. A neon pink one so we’ll all notice. :P

Comment by Robin

Thank you! OOoooh! PINK!!!!!

Thanks for offering help with my 12 steps programme… NOT!!!!

(sings) “I have a little list”, and really shaggy, wiry dogs are high on my little list! I like min wire hair dachs, wire haired viszlas, spanish water dogs, standard poodles – just fantastic dogs, pugs, deerhounds…

Just imagine if you will, a dog with speed, low cunning, little obedience and a very warped sense of humour, endowede with supreme hunting instinct – bull x greyhound springs to mind… !

Comment by Robin

Yep. :) And I’m beginning to think deerhound probably does too.

Do pugs come wire haired? I’ve only seen smooth. I love pugs–but they’ve been pretty well ruined by stupid breeding.

How did I MISS this when I unscreened it last night??? Oh well, it’s late, I’ve been asleep at my desk for at least an hour . . . but, LOL! WHEN did you get these other dog photos up? You never SAID. (A bully named Yeti! I LOVE it!) –When do we get to see an official show photo or two of you and your prize winners?

Comment by southdowner

I’ll try and put show photos from Crufts up in the next few days.

Yeti! Well she’s big and white and hairy so what else could I call her??? :) I think Bullies need either solid english names like arthur or mable, or else EXTREMELY silly names, which suit their sense of humour (sumo, noodles and celery) – as long as you laugh with, not AT them, they just enjoy the joke :)

********** Counting . . . :)

CELERY?!?? She should *sue.*

Comment by southdowner

I haven’t chosen a dog to christen Tsornin Arf yet, so when “arfur” comes along it might be sueing time :)

Comment by Robin

Who is going to sue whom please? :)

Comment by mialouise

I can hear them just form the photo’s – my dogs play like this too, although now they’re getting a bit older they can play heartily in a small space, such as say, oh, my study.

Turn your speakers up and try working with this going on around you:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=YwDkxb2vSO0

It happens thrice daily, every day, without fail.
My neighbours must think we torture them!

Comment by Robin

ROTFL!!!! But I *do* work with exactly this going on around me!!!!

Comment by mialouise

oh thank goodness I am not alone in this cacophony of noise, love and dare I say fun…?!

:)

Comment by Robin

No, it amuses me very much to see it somewhere ELSE. I am STILL trying to learn how to load the bell ringing live clip . . . if I ever get that far I’ll try to video the hellhounds at various activities, that one included.
