Silly hellhounds, editorial muted shrieks
So, is everyone seeing them side by side with the right-hand text column bang through the right-hand one? I loaded them to follow each other, and when I tried to move them around just now, nothing happens back here at the edit window, but when I click back through to what’s showing on the blog of course they’ve climbed on top of each other. So I dragged them back. I hope. Whimper. Blogmom, help. . . . There has got to be a way, but the $64K question is can I learn it?

They’re staggered for me.
LIKE THIS
AND THIS!
No text through them. They look good to me! :D
This happened last time, I think. I was trying to drown myself in an inadequate pond and you were saying, problem? What problem? I will have to ask Blogmom To Explain It All To Me. As well as teach me to load so that it looks all right on MY screen too. (Maybe you have a nice screen. And I have Screen from Hell.)

Well poop. WordPress didn’t scoot the AND THIS over. I added lots of spaces. But staggered. Really.
I do have a nice screen. And your photos look very nice on it!

********* Yes. Exactly. WordPress is lovely in many ways–and I remember my days of struggling with lj’s comment handling with deeprest horror–but SOME things are still a little . . . basic.
Is that like “Sister Mary Blogmom Explains It All To You”?
I don’t care about the words in the wrong place – life is waaaay too short! Just agree that you have got the MOST gorgeous dogs (mine of course are equally gorgeous ;)) and the photos are great…
Now go away from the computer, put the hammer down, refrain from saying “Kill me!” and have some green and black’s :)
have some green and black’s :)
********* I am doing that very thing at this VERY MOMENT. :)
(Yes, they ARE gorgeous, aren’t they? :) As well as silly.)

staggered. No text. Is this to do with screensize? Forgive the basic question, but have you maximised your browser to see what it looks like then?
I have no idea what ‘maximised your browser’ MEANS. But I have a 14″ screen on the mews laptop which is NOT SMALL. I’ll look when I get back to the cottage at what appears on the 22″ or whatever it is screen on the desktop.

Sorry, have you got your browser set up to fill your whole screen. Use the F11 key to do it (and then use F11 to reset to whatever you were previously using).
14″ isn’t small, but it isn’t big either. How did it look on the other screen?
oh, and I really should have asked what browser you are using. I’m using firefox on windows, which is working fine, or as fine as these things can.
And then I saw the blogmom comment, so I’ll quit now :)
Extremely, addictively gorgeous!
and silly is underrated – howling with laughter is just the best way to spend time :)
Yes, except it makes the camera shake! :)

The pics are showing fine for me.
Slightly staggered on the diagonal, but not overlaying each other.
And the hounds are very cute.
Oh, and have you got hold of the apricot G&B yet?
No! I haven’t seen it!!!!!

Enjoying this with fresh cherries. Dark and luscious. No chocolate necessary. I have a 19 inch screen and they are over the text. I can still enjoy them.
The photos are all fine, no text where it shouldn’t be, and they are lovely hellhounds. I think my screen is 14″ on the diagonal, so it’s not huge.
It looks like they’re having a great time mock-fighting. What wonderfully silly dogs they are.
As you’ve heard already, the pictures came out very well, no obscuring of photos or text . Chaos and Darkness are lovely boys and have SUCH A GOOD TIME. Hopefully when the Alpha Bitch gets a little brother and he gets big enough to play with her without getting trampled, we’ll have digital pictures of Danes running like greyhounds (well in one sense they are big hounds) and playing Crash and Kill, Biteface, and Stair Death.
And speaking of bitches . . . Bitch is a South Australian Grenache bottled by R Wines, which apparently does not have a web site, and imported into the US by Grateful Palate Imports. I opened a bottle tonight and I like it, but it’s a big red (15% alcohol, whoa) and probably wouldn’t suffer from a little bottle aging (it’s a 2006 vintage). I’d buy more. The label is pink with a heart and a dagger. Hmmm.
. . . and the Mad Scene from Lucia, a capella. :)
I will look for Bitch. 15%, ugh, why do wines keep getting STRONGER? I want something I can DRINK. But we like big reds.

Well, at 15% this is a wine that would certainly tolerate being made into sangria!
Yes, pics are staggered and text is unimpaired.
Have you refreshed your screen? Hold down the SHIFT key and click on your refresh button at the top of your Broswser window.
Beautiful dogs!
The text-and-picture arrangement is fine on the Safari browser of my small, nasty screen–my Firefox had a heart attack and makes alphabet soup out of anything, so we’ve parted company for now. Also, the hounds themselves are better than fine. I feel like I can see them moving–
perfect for me!
Those really are very handsome and happy hellhounds. I love the one with Chaos lying on his back, trying to lure Darkness in close…:)
If you’re still thinking of trying some different photo-editing software, there’s a free program to download here – http://www.getpaint.net/ – that I’ve heard several people speak highly of in the last week or so. I shall be trying it out myself this weekend. I’d be interested to know what others here think, too.
I’m not trying ANYTHING till at least 1,000,000 stupid, web-inept people have used it SUCCESSFULLY.
